Welcome!  Located in the scenic Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in working with both adults and children. 

My personal journey includes the unique experience of unexpectedly becoming a foster parent from one day to the next during my medical studies; this transformative experience provided me with a profound comprehension of trauma and children's emotions, igniting my passion to pursue a dedicated career as a Child Psychiatrist.

I provide comprehensive assessments, customized interventions, and tailored treatments to assist families and youth navigating a vast range of emotions and behavioral obstacles. My educational path includes training in some of the nation's most respected educational institutions: Medical School at the University of California, San Francisco, Adult Psychiatry Residency at the University of California, Riverside, and a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at Stanford University.

At the heart of my practice lies a profound belief in holistic evaluations, which explore family dynamics, individual psychology, and the interplay of physiological elements, to capture the entirety of an individual's needs. With this insight, we collaboratively carve out a treatment plan. My approach primarily focuses on therapeutic modalities, empowering individuals and families with essential coping strategies. If necessary, I integrate medications, prioritizing the individual's well-being above all else.

I am eager to welcome clients for in-person sessions. Together, let's embark on a shared journey towards the well-being of you and your family. 

Cost of Care 

I am currently working with most Aetna and Cigna insurance. Please contact your insurance if you are unsure if you are covered. If you are out-of-network I can provide a superbill (an itemized invoice) if your insurance covers out-of-network services.  My rate for sessions is $550 per hour; two hour initial intakes are $1100, and 30 minute medication followups are $275.
